“Some people collect money. Some collect memories. I want to collect destinations.”

Have you ever fallen in love with a place before actually visiting it?

I have.

Not because someone recommended it.

But because of movies and books.

They made me dream of mountains, rivers, road trips, and places waiting to be explored.

๐ŸŽฅ Raja Hindustani โ€“ My First Love for Ranikhet

Long before I visited Ranikhet, I had already fallen in love with its beautiful hills while watching Raja Hindustani.

The peaceful roads, pine forests, and mountain views looked like a dream.

Years later, when I finally visited Ranikhetโ€”not once, but twiceโ€”I realized the real place was even more beautiful than the movie.

Some destinations don’t just become memories.

They become emotions.

โค๏ธ Sirf Tum โ€“ Nainital Through a Song

Whenever I hear “Pehli Pehli Baar Mohabbat Ki Hai…”, my mind instantly remembers Nainital.

The beautiful lake, misty mountains, peaceful Mall Road, and romantic atmosphere made me want to visit this magical town.

I’ve been to Nainital twice, and every visit feels like the first one.

No matter how many times I go back, the charm never fades.

๐Ÿ”๏ธ Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani โ€“ The Mountains Are Calling

If there is one Bollywood movie that made me fall in love with mountains, it is Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

The trekking scenes, campfires, snowy landscapes, and friendships reminded me that travelling isn’t only about reaching a destination.

Sometimes, the journey changes us more than the destination ever could.

Watching this movie made me dream of exploring places like Manali, and when I finally visited, it felt like stepping into a scene from the film.

๐ŸŒŠ Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara โ€“ Adventure Awaits

This movie taught me one thingโ€”

Life begins outside your comfort zone.

Road trips, friendship, laughter, and adventure…

Everything about this movie makes me want to keep travelling.

One day, I hope to tick off two dreams from my bucket listโ€”

โœ” Scuba Diving

โœ” Sky Diving

Because life is too short to keep saying, “Maybe someday.”

๐Ÿ“š Books That Inspired Me

If movies inspired my heart, books inspired my mind.

The first name that comes to mind is Rahul Sankrityayan, often called the father of Indian travel literature.

His Ghumakkar Shastra completely changed the way I look at travelling.

He believed that travelling is the greatest university in the world.

Some other books every travel lover should read are:

๐Ÿ“– Meri Tibet Yatra โ€“ Rahul Sankrityayan

๐Ÿ“– The Alchemist โ€“ Paulo Coelho

๐Ÿ“– Vagabonding โ€“ Rolf Potts

๐Ÿ“– The Great Railway Bazaar โ€“ Paul Theroux

These books remind us that travelling isn’t just about changing places.

It’s about changing perspectives.

โค๏ธ My Travel Philosophy

Today, whenever I travel, I don’t just visit a destination.

I try to understand its history.

Taste its local food.

Meet its people.

Learn its culture.

Because every journey teaches something that no classroom ever can.

And perhaps that’s why I keep travelling.

Not to escape life…

But to understand it a little better.
