And the unicorns leave silver footprints wherever they walk.
There is only one rule:
Nobody is allowed to shout.
Because the valley disappears whenever humans stop feeling wonder.
Perhaps that’s the problem with growing up.
We don’t lose magic.
We lose the ability to notice it.
ЁЯЪВтЬи 8. THE AKASH EXPRESS
Now comes the greatest invention in this fictional universe.
Forget airplanes.
Forget ordinary trains.
Meet:
THE AKASH EXPRESS
A magical train that travels between worlds.
It looks like the Hogwarts Express from a distance.
But inside?
Indian wooden carvings.
Brass lamps.
Comfortable seats.
And a pantry serving:
chai + samosas + Butterbeer.
The train travels through:
ЁЯПФя╕П Himalayan mountains ЁЯМ▓ enchanted forests ЁЯПЬя╕П magical deserts ЁЯП░ European kingdoms ЁЯМК underwater tunnels ЁЯММ and sometimesтАж space
At midnight, the conductor walks through the carriage.
He asks:
тАЬDestination?тАЭ
You smile.
тАЬSomewhere magical.тАЭ
He stamps your ticket.
тАЬThen you’re already there.тАЭ
ЁЯНЫтЬи 9. THE GREAT FANTASY FEAST
Let’s be honest.
No vacation is complete without food.
And our magical universe takes food very seriously.
Imagine sitting in an enormous dining hall with floating candles.
The architecture looks European.
The decorations are Indian.
And the food?
Absolutely dangerous.
Paneer tikka.
Biryani.
Dosa.
Samosa.
Rasgulla.
Gulab jamun.
Butterbeer.
Pumpkin pasties.
Masala chai.
And desserts that appear whenever you think about them.
A wizard takes one bite of spicy Indian food.
His eyes widen.
He whispers:
тАЬWhat spell is this?тАЭ
The chef replies:
тАЬNot a spell. Garam masala.тАЭ
And suddenly the wizard understands that some forms of magic are better without a wand.
ЁЯПЭя╕ПЁЯМК 10. THE INDIAN OCEAN OF MYTHS
Our journey doesn’t end in the mountains.
It continues to the sea.
An enormous magical ocean stretches across the world.
Hidden beneath it is a kingdom of underwater palaces.
Mermaids live alongside n─Бgas.
Ancient ships sail without sails.
Pearls glow like moons.
And somewhere in the deepest part of the ocean is a legendary library containing stories that humanity has forgotten.
The rule is simple:
You can read any story.
But you cannot take one home.
Because some stories belong to the place where they were born.
тЪФя╕П WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER FICTIONAL WORLDS?
Of course, we can’t ignore the classics.

ЁЯПЖЁЯМН AND THE WINNER ISтАж
After considering everythingтАФ
magic,
food,
adventure,
nature,
culture,
mystery,
and most importantlyтАж
survival probabilityтАФ
I think the most fun fictional vacation would actually be:
ЁЯЗоЁЯЗ│ЁЯкД THE WORLD BETWEEN WORLDS
An IndianтАУWestern Fantasy Universe.
A world where Hogwarts meets the Himalayas.
Middle-earth meets the Western Ghats.
Narnia meets Panchatantra.
Diagon Alley meets an Indian bazaar.
Dragons meet n─Бgas.
Unicorns meet peacocks.
Wizards meet sages.
And Butterbeer meets masala chai.
Because why choose one fantasy when imagination can create all of them?
ЁЯТн THE DEEPER MAGIC OF FICTION
Perhaps this is why fictional worlds have such a strange power over us.
We know they aren’t real.
We know Hogwarts doesn’t exist.
We know Middle-earth isn’t on any modern map.
We know dragons aren’t waiting behind the Himalayas.
And yetтАж
we still miss them.
Why?
Because stories don’t only create places.
They create feelings.
Hogwarts represents wonder.
Middle-earth represents belonging.
Narnia represents courage.
Pandora represents connection with nature.
Panchatantra represents wisdom.
Indian mythology represents the eternal conversation between humans, nature, morality and the unknown.
And perhaps that’s why the greatest fictional worlds stay with us long after the book ends.
тАЬA reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one.тАЭ тАФ George R.R. Martin
Maybe fiction gives us something reality cannot:
the opportunity to experience lives we were never born to live.
ЁЯМЩ THE SHREEBIRD THOUGHT
Imagine returning from this imaginary vacation.
Your suitcase is full of strange souvenirs.
A magical feather.
A tiny dragon scale.
A Hogwarts-style invitation.
A Himalayan crystal.
A Panchatantra storybook.
A packet of enchanted chai.
Your passport is full of impossible stamps.
Your flight home doesn’t exist.
Because there was never a flight.
You open your eyes.
You’re back in your room.
The fan is running.
Your phone is buzzing.
The real world is waiting.
But something has changed.
You smile.
Because for seven imaginary daysтАж
you travelled somewhere that did not exist.
And perhaps that’s the real purpose of fantasy.
Not to make us escape reality forever.
But to make ordinary reality feel a little more magical when we return.
тАЬFantasy is not an escape from reality; it is an exploration of what reality could become.тАЭ
So the next time someone asks:
тАЬWhich fictional world would you vacation in?тАЭ
Don’t just name a place.
Tell them what kind of person you want to become there.
A wizard?
A Hobbit?
A warrior?
An explorer?
A storyteller?
A sage?
Or perhapsтАж
just yourselfтАФ
but somewhere the impossible is still possible.
тЬи WHAT WOULD YOUR MAGICAL PASSPORT SAY?
If you could receive a magical passport today, where would you go?
The World Between Worlds
Tell us your destination.
Because perhaps the best fictional world isn’t the one someone else created.
It’s the one you create inside your imagination.
